Today, Netflix announced that it has taken its first steps to prevent the sharing of passwords for network accounts, and the beginning was in the United States of America.
The streaming giant said that US accounts suspected of sharing the password will receive an email today, which you can read about below.
Netflix also announced the option to add an additional user, which would allow someone outside your household to use your membership, but would cost $7.99 per month for each additional user.
Netflix is talking more about the new feature in its help pagewhich explains that account owners now have the option to purchase another space for someone outside their family, and that additional member will have their own profile and password, but the account owner will pay for their own space.
In addition, Netflix highlighted a new transfer profile feature that will allow anyone using someone else’s account to transfer their existing profile to a new account.
