Netflix announces new reality show Byron Baes about glamorous influencers in NSW’s hotspot – and The Block’s Elyse Knowles is tipped for a lead role
Netflix will release an original reality series about Byron Bay influencers.
The show, which will be called Byron Baes, was announced by the streaming giant on Thursday morning.
And according to The Sydney Morning Herald, The Block star and model Elyse Knowles has been ‘hotly tipped’ for a lead role.

Byron Baes will run eight episodes in total.
Netflix’s director of content for Australia and New Zealand, Que Minh Luu, said it was a ‘no brainer’ to give the show the green light.
“You have this clique, or live feed as we called it, of Instagrammers, who all live in Byron, and there are a lot of them,” Ms Luu said.

Byron Baes follows the influencers in their daily lives, but does not criticize the influencer culture.
‘I’m not going to convict anyone for having a product to sell. Musicians have music to sell. I have ideas to sell, ”added Ms. Luu.

There will also be ‘fights, flings and heartbreaks’ on offer.

Byron Baes is produced by Eureka Productions.
Emma Lamb, known for her work on Married At First Sight and The Real Housewives of Sydney, will act as executive producer.
Byron Bay has become a celebrity hotspot in recent years, after Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, built a $ 30 million mega home in nearby Broken Head.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an influx of Hollywood stars to the area, including Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy.
