Fans were referring to the romantic comedy Me Before You, which stars Game Of Thrones star Emelia Clark as Louisa ‘Lou’ Clark and Sam Claflin as William ‘Will’ Trayno.
Louisa is hired as a carer for Will, who was once a successful banker and an active athlete, but is now a quadriplegic after being hit by a motorcycle.
Will’s mother hopes that Lou’s cheerful personality will lift Will’s depressed and cynical spirits, which it indeed does after the two begin to fall for each other.
However, this occurs after he overhears an argument between Will’s parents, which reveals their plans to request assisted suicide.
The film tells the story of the relationship between Will and Louisa after she is hired as his carer. Will, who was once a successful banker and an active sportsman, is now a quadriplegic.
Lou then tries to change Will’s mind by taking him on trips and adventures to convince him that his life is still worth living.
During an extravagant trip to Mauritius, Will tells Lou that he still intends to commit assisted suicide and that he wants her to live her own life to the fullest.
After spending their final moments together, Lou learns that he has left her enough money to follow her dreams and encourages her to live her own luxurious life.
The film was well received by fans and critics alike, with a score of 7.4 on IMDb.
It also won an award for Favorite Dramatic Movie at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, while it was nominated for an MTV Movie and TV Award in the “tearjerker” category.
