The first two seasons of the musical comedy originally premiered and streamed on Peacock.
And when Peacock decided not to move forward last year, Netflix decided to shelve the show and renew the series for a third season on its platform.
The final season of Girls5Eva aired at the beginning of the year in March.
The comedy series was created by Meredith Scardino and executive produced by Tina Fey, who joined the impressive star-studded cast at the New York premiere last spring.

“He’s dead,” he told his podcast listeners in an episode that aired on December 4.
“Yeah, I’m just saying that because shit,” he said. “If Netflix won’t do it, I will.”
She continued: “I guess not enough people saw it or they saw it the way it counts, or I don’t know.”

Philipps explained that Netflix had said “nothing about how the deal was structured when it moved to Peacock for the second season” and has not yet said whether the show would end for good.
‘So there is time. “I don’t think he’ll ever be dead,” he said. “The characters are too good.”
Philipps continued: “I even joked with the cast, saying we should do Radio City or turn it into a live show, a musical. Maybe someday even Broadway.
He also commented on the name of the show, hinting that it might have been part of the reason for the show’s lack of popularity.
“I think the name Girls5Eva is awesome and totally on point, but I think it’s possible that it alienates men, like fucking straight guys.”
She then posed the question: ‘Has anyone ever done a study on how women’s titles affect the success of shows?’

“That’s why it would have been great if Girls5eva could have received a well-deserved Emmy/Golden Globe award this year, that could have helped with ratings,” the fan wrote. But no one insisted at all. Not Netflix, not the experts, nobody.
