- Fans have taken to X to praise the first season of Chaos Theory
Fans of Netflix children’s show Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous were left baffled by its just-released spin-off, with viewers crowing when the streaming site confirmed a second season just days after the first season premiered.
Camp Cretaceous, which debuted in 2020, exists in the broader Jurassic cinematic universe, as it follows the story of six teenagers who attend ‘camp’ on an island intended to be the site of Jurassic Park.
But things go wrong over the course of five seasons, eventually culminating in the dinosaurs escaping the island and invading the rest of the world.
Now, Netflix has continued that story with the debut of Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory, which picks up the narrative years later, with the gang now young adults navigating a world populated by prehistoric creatures.
Also with the new series comes the revelation that Brooklynn, an e-girl character voiced by Jennie Ortega from Camp Cretaceous, has died.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has received rave reviews from fans of the Netflix children’s series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.
However, protagonists Darius and Ben have suspicions that his death was not accidental, while Ben admits that he has delved into the online world of Jurassic conspiracy theories, through a site called Dark Jurassic.
At the same time, the friends continue to be chased and attacked by a group of Atrociraptors,
Meanwhile, it is also revealed that the athletic Yaz has been battling PTSD on the island, which was putting a strain on her relationship with her girlfriend Sammy.
Many at X also praised the series’ realistic depiction of a panic attack when Yaz attempts to touch a non-predatory dinosaur.
At some point during their journey, the gang finally discovers that the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife, meant to protect people from dinosaurs, is behind Brooklynn’s death.
The DPW has also been conducting an illegal trafficking operation, which Brooklynn had been trying to infiltrate and stop.
They also discover that the Atrociraptors have a mysterious handler, which explains why they keep encountering the predators.
Dozens of fans of Netflix’s Jurassic World shows took to X to praise the latest installment, in the form of the first few seasons of Chaos Theory.
In the final moments of the last episode, it is revealed that Brooklynn is still alive, alone without a hand, and is still trying to take down the DPW.
Processing the suspense, dozens took to X to proclaim their excitement for Chaos World.
“Holy shit, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is so good,” one wrote.
“They really didn’t have to blow up like that but Jurassic World Chaos Theory is a slap in the face,” praised a second.
