A scene from Netflix’s new movie Hot Frosty has gone viral due to its “downright bonkers” script, leaving viewers roaring with laughter.
The recently released Christmas rom-com, starring Mean Girls actress Lacey Chabert and Schitt’s Creek alum Dustin Milligan, follows a widow who finds love again after bringing a beautiful snowman to life with a scarf magical.
Upon its arrival on the platform on November 13, viewers can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of one particular scene in which Jack Snowman (Milligan) asks his love interest Kathy (Chabert) what cancer is.
The moment takes place while both characters are sitting in Kathy’s kitchen while the snowman prepares some food.
‘Can I ask you a question?’ he asks, and Kathy instantly responds, “Of course you can.”
Without missing a beat, Jack says, ‘Okay, earlier today, I was checking the house for vampires and I came downstairs… What is cancer?’
Not knowing how to respond, Kathy, who lost her late husband to the disease, replies, “Jack, it’s um… it’s not a nice thing to happen to some people.”
Social media users couldn’t help but comment on the scene, with many saying it had them in hysterics.

The post attracted a lot of attention, with another adding: “I saw this with my mom and sister the other day and I screamed at them and they didn’t even blink.”
‘I went looking for vampires and found cancer. “One of life’s universal experiences,” said a third.
A fourth wrote: “This scene made me laugh.”
‘How did you find cancer in the basement?’ asked a fifth.
Jack had asked the question about cancer shortly after discovering photos and trinkets of Kathy’s late husband.
Among the treasures she found in her home, she also found her spouse’s medical notes, which included chemotherapy and numerous appointments.
Lead star Dustin recently spoke about his love for the script, describing it as “deep and with heart.”
Viewers laughed out loud at a scene in which Jack Snowman asks Kathy what cancer is.
Speaking to CBC, he said: “For a movie that’s about a woman who falls in love with a snowman and a snowman who falls in love with this woman, it is, on paper, a very silly premise.”
“But I think what I love about the script is that there’s more to it than that.
“There’s a little more depth and heart and it’s a little more grounded than the premise suggests, and I think audiences are realizing that.”
He added to the post: “I think it’s pretty easy to roll your eyes at the genre and not be all that interested.”
‘And yes, all of us knew the magic that was possible.
“The script was really wonderful, but we knew we could all contribute a little more in terms of commitment.
“I think as a result, we’re very fortunate that it ended up in the final product and ended up resonating with people the way it did.”
