The son of pop icon Cyndi Lauper allegedly mentioned his famous mother during his arrest on weapons charges.

Declyn ‘Dex’ Lauper, 28, is said to have mentioned her superstar mother’s name and talked about her most famous song ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ during her arrest.

The suspect in the Nepo baby gun possession case told police about his superstar mother and her successful career while handcuffed after a shooting incident in Harlem, according to court documents obtained by the New York Post.

“Growing up, my mom is Cyndi Lauper, girls just want to have fun,” Lauper allegedly told a detective.

The aspiring rapper appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court in a sleek white Versace shirt, where he pleaded not guilty to weapons charges stemming from the Feb. 7 incident.

He was caught with a loaded .48-caliber Glock pistol and drugs near where a gang of five gunmen had shot his 24-year-old friend in the leg.

“Overall, my head is in the right place, it’s my music,” he apparently told police after the raid. “No, I was asking people to call my mother and my personal trainer.”

“All I know is I looked up and saw everyone had guns in their faces,” Lauper said. “It’s not really my first rodeo, since I have a family that I come from, my mom, my uncles and all that. So I was calm, bro.”

He then bragged about his wealth, claiming he was wearing a $20,000 necklace and bragging that his father had paid for his injured friend’s lawyer.

“I’m not going to lie for you, I paid his lawyer, so he took that bullet for me,” said Lauper, who avoided Rikers Island after her father, “Law & Order” actor David Thornton, bailed him out with $20,000 in cash at his criminal arraignment.

This isn’t Lauper’s first run-in with the law: She previously avoided jail for stealing a Mercedes outside another rapper’s memorial in 2022.

He was arrested after being found in possession of a stolen 2014 Mercedes Benz while at a memorial service on July 14, 2022 for an aspiring rapper named Ethan Reyes, who had been fatally stabbed days earlier.

Dex had been arrested while sitting in the double-parked vehicle at the intersection of 140th Street and Broadway, the New York Post reported.

Prosecutors in the case said Dex told police officers when they questioned him about the vehicle: “You probably know who I am.”

Dex pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct without jail time in connection with the incident.

As a condition of his plea deal, Manhattan Criminal Court ordered Dex to stay out of trouble for a year and perform community service that lasted five days. He faced up to a year in prison if convicted, the outlet reported.

Following the October 2022 court hearing, Dex was seen smoking marijuana (which is legal in New York City) with friends as he climbed into a van parked outside the courthouse.

In an Instagram Stories post that day, Dex posted an image of a smoke-filled vehicle with the caption: “Court.”

He entered Manhattan Supreme Court with his girlfriend and entourage to face a hearing on two counts of criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

He was wearing a white Louis Vuitton shirt, light blue jeans and sunglasses inside the courtroom where Judge Marisol Martinez Alonso adjourned the case until May 15.

This came as she faced eviction from her luxury Manhattan apartment after neighbors complained about loud music, late-night screaming and marijuana odors.

His landlord filed an eviction petition to have the 26-year-old removed from his $7,200-a-month apartment.

Dex has been accused of violating the lease rules of the apartment building in the Financial District since he moved in last October.
