Is that the Berlin TV tower over there? Neo Berlin 2087 shows a gloomy future version of the capital in the trailer.
German cities rarely serve as locations in games – at least if it’s not set during the Second World War. Neo Berlin 2087 is supposed to fill the gap. The Berlin studio Elysium Games has now published a first gameplay trailer:

What is Neo Berlin 2087?
The shooter is supposed to be a first- and third-person role-playing game in which we, as detectives, trudge through a bleak future version of Berlin. According to Steam, the story will deal with justice, friendship, love, guilt, sacrifice and betrayal – so there should be a whole lot of themes in the thriller.
But we already know a little more: The chief of police was found dead, his daughter has disappeared. We slip into the role of the enigmatic detective Nolan, who is tasked with finding the missing person. The rich-poor divide in 2087 is clearly noticeable. The wealthy rule the city and live in sheer luxury, while the rest of society struggles to find food in slums.
If the Elysium Games studio doesn’t tell you anything, it’s no wonder: the team has only been around since 2019, Neo Berlin 2087 her first project. In order to strengthen the German gaming industry, the studio is funded by the state and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
The first opinions on Neo Berlin 2087
On the one hand, Neo Berlin 2087 is graphically impressive – the resolution is crisp and some projectiles fly impressively through the area. This lets the potential of the Unreal Engine 5 used here shine through. Still, the trailer doesn’t look all that round. This is largely due to the low frame rate, Poised Stool believes:

Neo Berlin 2087 has no exact release date yetonly 2024 is given as the period. In addition to the PC, it should also appear on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S.
