The reality star revealed in June that her husband Gregg – who was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 but later went into remission – was once again battling the disease and undergoing a second round of surgery.
On Thursday, NeNe dropped out of a scheduled appearance as host of The Talk to welcome her husband home after being discharged from a medical facility.

She said at the end of June: ‘He is in the hospital. He is in the hospital, tomorrow will be a week.
“I’m sure he’ll be home in a week or so. He had to have surgery [because] his cancer came back. He has had surgery before and has been in the hospital for about 15 days,” the mother of two continued.
NeNe also admits that it is of course a ‘difficult’ time and that her husband is ‘different’.
Speaking in an Instagram Live with The Jasmine Brand, she added: ‘He’s super tiny. If you’ve ever been around someone who’s had cancer, they’re different. He’s different.
“I’d like everyone to pray for Gregg, that would be nice. Pray for his strength.

By May 2019, Gregg had gone into remission after treatment.
At the time, NeNe posted a photo of Gregg on Instagram with a sign that read, “No cancer found! Praise God…’
She added the caption, “Look at God! We are very happy to say that we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for it….. WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! [sic]’

Many of the couple’s issues were played out in season 11 of their popular Bravo show, with NeNe nearly quitting.
Gregg was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 and NeNe shared the news at the time in an emotional Instagram post in which she captioned a photo of her husband in a doctor’s office with, “The fight begins.”
The diagnosis and treatment put a strain on the couple’s second marriage, but they seemed to weather the storm.
The couple first married in 1997 but divorced in 2011 to get back together and remarry in 2013.
