Nemanja Matic says Manchester United need to develop great instinct to win titles.
United took their first home win of the new Premier League season on Saturday in a nerve-racking 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, but Matic says that ‘one zero is not enough’.
He claims United should “focus more on the attack” and “kill the game earlier” to accumulate more “points” and shut out opponents.

Bruno Fernandes’ taken back penalty in the second half turned out to be the difference against Slaven Bilic’s side, but West Brom kept threatening United until the final whistle.
Matic expressed concern about United’s inability to finish West Brom, which is currently in the relegation zone.
He told MUTV: ‘If we score first, we have to go on and kill the game as quickly as possible, especially in the Premier League. We need to improve that.
‘Every team has quality, every team is dangerous. Zero is not enough. They almost scored, they hit the bar once. So they were always dangerous.
“We need to make sure we have more concentration next time on the attack and make sure we try to kill the game early.”
However, the result pushed United to ninth place in the Premier League.

The result gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his first win at home in the 2020-2021 season
It also gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his first win at Old Trafford in the 2020-2021 season after losing home soil to Crystal Palace, Spurs and Arsenal and a draw against Chelsea.
Matic said of the importance of the match against West Brom: “We said before the match that we had to win. We had to get the three points to get close to the teams at the top of the league.
‘We are happy with the three points, but not with our performance. We have to do better.
But wins are the most important thing, of course, because at the end of the season no one is going to ask you how you played, if you were great. Most importantly, you collect points.
‘Manchester United want to win titles and our goal is to come first and we will do anything for that. We can only do that as a team. ‘
