It comes after Nelly recently teased a possible Las Vegas residency last month when he was in Sin City celebrating his 50th birthday with his wife Ashanti.
The Ride wit Me hitmaker will take his Where Da Part At tour to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, alongside Eve (left), Ja Rule (right) and other artists.
The St. Louis native and his wife, 44, were asked about the possibility of a residency in an interview with Entertainment tonight.
It appeared that the couple, who married last December and welcomed their first child in July, had been in talks for a residency not long ago.
‘It’s funny you say that. “There was talk about that precisely not long ago,” Nelly joked.
‘I’m not going to say much more but I hope everything stays the course. I love Las Vegas, she loves Las Vegas. “We both love Las Vegas for very different reasons,” he said.
The couple would join a growing list of stars with residencies of their own such as Billy Joel, Donny Osmond, Usher, Babyface, Shania Twain, Pitbull and many more.
Nelly and Ashanti go back a few decades, as they began dating in 2003 after meeting at the Grammy Awards.
They dated for a decade until they split in 2013, but reconciled in 2023 and quietly tied the knot just days after Christmas last year.
They welcomed their first child, Kareem Kenkaide, in July, and Nelly recently opened up about what Ashanti is like as a mother.
‘She is an amazing mom. “To see someone care so much about another person and give their all and be willing to give their all,” he said.
“You know, like she said, sometimes it can go too far, but you’d rather have a father who goes too far than one who doesn’t go far enough.”
