A resident said, “I had just been in the bins at the back of the flat when I heard terribly blood-curdling screams.
“It is normally loud here with children playing and playing music, but this was different. I ran in and a few minutes later it was swarming with police.
“A friend of mine lives closer to where it happened and told me they shouted ‘no, no, don’t do it!” ”
Another resident, Mandy, said, “There are many rumors that it’s a love triangle or a drug deal gone wrong.
“Anyway, a young guy is dead and a murderer is walking around. It’s pretty scary considering how many young families live around here. ‘
Others described how police cars and helicopters landed on Chervil Rise before taping the street.
A Lloyds pharmacy employee said, “We were in the store. We heard the helicopter rise above us and realized what happened.
“There were two ambulances and police cars. The last thing we saw was the tape that passed. ‘

Mother-of-a-Chelsea Henson, 22, who lives in the nearby Hampton View flats, added, ‘It’s really, really scary.
“We’ve been here about two years now. Such a thing wouldn’t happen a few years ago. There have been a few more incidents in recent years.
“It’s mainly a few car accidents and things like that. We went for a walk and just got back at 6.15pm.
“I saw the boys in the white suits on the spot most of the evening.”
