Sleep-deprived neighbor leaves note begging woman to dump her boyfriend after being woken by their explosive rows – but not everyone is convinced it was the right thing to do
- An anonymous letter writer has begged their neighbor to dump her boyfriend
- The writer claimed they had been kept awake by their nightly arguments
- The note urged the couple to “ break up already ” and leave the block alone
A sleep-deprived neighbor pleaded with a woman to leave her boyfriend after she was rudely shaken up by their nightly fights.
In an anonymous letter addressed to the apartment next door, the neighbor lashed out at the couple that they should end their relationship – implying that the fault lies with the man.
“We don’t need to be woken up again at 2am because he can’t be an adult and keep his s ** t together,” the note said.
“Not once again woken up by slamming doors, pounding feet and worst – his whining a ** voice screams” what the f ** k “!”

The writer, who lives in the US, told the woman that her new dog “deserves better” than witnessing such explosive rows before urging her to “just break up already.”
“Please allow us to go for at least a month without waking up in the middle of the night,” the note concluded.
A photo of the letter has generated dozens of passionate responses since it was shared on Reddit with the caption, “If your neighbors are exhausted from your struggles, it’s time to think about some things.”
One person replied, ‘I also had a neighbor like that. She broke up with a boyfriend, then moved to another and started fighting with him. For more than nine years she moved in and threw four friends out the door. ‘
Another said their old neighbor was much the same, adding, ‘He was an implement, she was a fool. Always fight. ‘
But others were concerned about the couple’s well-being.
Some said it sounded like they were trapped in a toxic relationship and slammed the letter writer for not seeing the situation.
‘They are in an abusive relationship. It is highly inconsiderate to include an apartment building in it, but ‘just breaking up’ is not that easy, ” wrote one person.
“This note is misplaced and probably insignificant.”
