The wife of Oklahoma City Thunder player Gordon Hayward criticized the team’s general manager Sam Presti on social media after he admitted he “missed” the trade for him.

Presti brutally – and publicly – scolded Hayward’s performances at Oklahoma since he arrived from the Charlotte Hornets for three players and two second-round picks in February.

“I missed that,” Presti said this week.

‘That’s up to me. But I’m learning, I’m trying to learn a little bit about this team, I’m trying to learn a little bit about the rhythm of the team.

“And try to be a great observer of the team as it moves forward, knowing that it’s really going to change on its own.”

Thunder general manager Sam Presti said earlier this week that he “missed out” on the Gordon Hayward trade.

But Hayward’s wife, Robyn, responded to Presti on Instagram and was quick to defend her husband.

She commented: ‘Why change for someone and not play with them? …she missed it by not integrating it.’

Hayward averaged 14.5 points in about 32 minutes per game while with the Hornets.

But his production fell to just 5.3 points in about 17.2 minutes per game with the Thunder. Statistics show that Robyn may be right.

However, Hayward failed to score during the NBA playoffs, in which OKC lost to Dallas. Mavericks in the second round.

Gordon previously called his time with the Thunder “frustrating” and “disappointing.”

“I feel like, as a player, I have a lot to offer,” Gordon said.

“They just didn’t give me much of a chance to do that. I thought they would give me that chance.”
