Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been fined $25,000 by the NBA after making a throat-slitting gesture toward an opponent on the court.
Brown, who helped the Celtics win the NBA Championship last season, made the gesture toward the Detroit Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart on Wednesday.
And two days after the game, the 28-year-old received a heavy fine from the league.
NBA executive vice president and chief communications officer Joe Dumars announced Friday that Brown is being disciplined for the “inappropriate” gesture he made in Boston’s clash with Detroit.
Brown led Wednesday’s game with 28 points as the Celtics earned a 130-120 victory over the Pistons.
