NBA star Anthony Edwards tells the women who are after him after agreeing to a $260 million contract extension that his girlfriend Jeanine Robel is ‘the only one’ to reap the benefits.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has warned interested women after he agreed to a $260 million contract extension, insisting his girlfriend Jeanine Robel is his ‘only one’.
The 21-year-old finalized the five-year extension earlier this week, with the stunning deal set to begin in the 2024-25 season.
He is the fourth player to get the maximum extension at rookie scale so far this summer, joining IndianaCharlotte’s Tyrese Haliburton, Charlotte’s LaMelo Ball and Memphis’ Desmond Bane.
The deal means he is a wanted man on and off the court, but Edwards has told the women now after him that his loyalty is only to his girlfriend Robel.
“All the women who think they’re going to get ahead after signing a contract, she’s the one,” Edwards said on social media, before moving the camera to Robel.

The 21-year-old then turned the camera on his dog and quipped, “No, her.”
He added: ‘She’s the only one coming, … she’s new to the table, so I’m a little green for her.
‘Everyone else, the light is the same color as my damn (red) jacket… Do you understand me?’
Edwards was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 draft and will turn 22 next month, when he is scheduled to be part of USA Basketball’s roster for the FIBA World Cup.

Edwards joked that the ‘only one’ was his dog (L) as he is a wanted man on and off the court.
His scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and shooting numbers have increased each season.
Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals on 46 percent shooting last season while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range.
Only nine players averaged as many points, rebounds and assists per game as Edwards. Of the nine, he was the youngest at 21 years old.
Add steals per game to that list, and Edwards became the youngest player to have those averages in each of those categories since LeBron James in 2005-06.
