Nathan Cleary has shared some exciting news after sparking engagement rumours with girlfriend Mary Fowler.
The 26-year-old NRL champion has marked a huge milestone in his career despite being forced to sit out the entire State Of Origin series after suffering a brutal injury.
The scrum-half has landed a massive five-year, six-figure deal to be the face of deodorant brand Rexona, an achievement Nathan still struggles to believe is real.
“Sometimes I’ll see my head appear on a TV commercial or a billboard and think, ‘What the hell, that’s actually me. ‘ It’s still very strange,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. Daily Telegraph.
“It was pretty crazy when (Rexona) first reached out. It’s been amazing.”
Nathan is the face of Rexona’s aptly titled Not Done Yet campaign, which encapsulates the athlete’s attitude upon returning to the field following his injury.
‘Not being on the court, I want to come back, because I’m not done yet and I want to get back to my best level,’ he shared.
In May, the champion New South Wales halfback suffered a grade two hamstring injury, and his eight-week recovery ruled him out of the entire State of Origin series.

The couple’s much-needed break came weeks after they sparked engagement rumours after sharing romantic snaps from a date night in Sydney.
Their excited fans were quick to ask the loved-up couple if an engagement is on the cards soon.
“So when are you announcing the engagement?” one fan wrote, while another added: “Get down on one knee, boy.”
Both athletes are very private when it comes to their relationship, and Nathan admitted that the attention placed on his personal life is something he didn’t expect.
Last month, the NRL star, 26, and Matildas star Mary, 21, sparked engagement rumours among fans and then went on a romantic holiday together (pictured) just weeks later.
“Obviously, this is different than when I was young and in first grade and people were analyzing my game. I hadn’t had that happen before,” he said.
Mary and Nathan have been dating since late last year, and Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed their romance at the time.
At the time, footage showed Mary resting her head on the Penrith Panthers star’s chest in a Perth park as they cuddled up next to each other ahead of their match against the Matildas.
The couple then officially revealed their romance in Perth in October and finally went Instagram official in January this year.
