“It would have been a huge regret if I hadn’t gone back to music, it was an itch that needed itching.”

Dermot then pressed Natasha to reveal why she had fallen in love with music and she admitted she was left “traumatised” when the band came to an end.

She admitted: “I was traumatized. She had had five intense years with Atomic Kitten and when that came to an end, it was really abrupt. At that time I wasn’t feeling very well.

After the band broke up, she revealed: “They all disappeared.” The friends were leaving. I realized who my friends were, people came and went.’

Speaking about why she decided to go solo and return to the music industry, Natasha revealed that lockdown fueled her decision.

She explained: ‘I think it was the lockdown. When everything was taken away from me, I thought, “What do I really want to do?” and it was always music. Then I met my new manager, Ken, and he saw the wolf and the passion that I had.’

Atomic Kitten were one of the most popular girl bands of the 2000s, however, after five top ten singles, original member Kerry, 43, left the band.

She was then replaced by former Precious singer Jenny Frost, 46, when Whole Again reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.

It comes after the singer took to Instagram last year to reveal she had given birth to her fifth child, Kitty Iris, with husband Charles Gay.

She captioned the sweet image of Charles carrying his baby daughter out of the hospital with: “I can’t put into words how we feel right now.” Our family is complete.’

Following the birth of her baby, Natasha took to Instagram to share some snaps of her daughter Kitty with her followers, revealing that the birth “took her by surprise” as it arrived earlier than expected.

She revealed: 'I was traumatized. She had had five intense years with Atomic Kitten and when that came to an end, it was really abrupt. At that time I wasn't feeling very well.

The Whole Again singer shared: ‘You came into the world over 3 weeks early and gave mom a big surprise when dad was working in London! But you hung in there until he came home and from the moment we saw you, we were totally in love with you.

‘The first few weeks brought us some challenges and quite a few sleepless nights, but you are our little warrior and we are so happy that you are now thriving, growing and pooping like a little soldier!’

Natasha has sons Josh, Harry and Alfie, and an eight-year-old daughter, Ella Rose, from a previous relationship.
