Last month, Kady was criticized for waging a “useless debate” that pet owners should have the same rights as parents on Good Morning Britain.

The Love Islander argued that animal owners should not have to book annual leave for their sick pet and that employers should be more lenient just as they are with parents when their children are sick.

Kady, who appeared live on the show with her little dog Cobi, told hosts Ed Balls, 57, and Susanna Reid, 53, that employers should be “compact” with everyone because “children are a choice and so are pets.”

She said: ‘I’m a freelancer. If I want to stay home I can but he [her dog] I was quite sick a few years ago and was at a photo shoot and they let me go home. They had photographers and everything and we stopped.

‘My mother has four dogs and luckily her employer is understanding and if she has a vet appointment they will let her leave early. I think her crucial employers should be accommodating.”

Former Apprentice star Simba Rwambiwa, who has a one-year-old son, argued: “We can’t sit here and say that a child’s life has the same value as a dog’s.”

‘We should keep maternity leave and paternity leave like this. Take annual vacations if your pet needs to go to the vet, they are separate things.

ITV viewers quickly took to X to complain about the “useless debate” as they claimed workers would “abuse” the system.

‘If your pet has a litter, you need to take an annual holiday, you know they are going to have those puppies.

“My focus is on my son, where does this end? We can’t continue to allow people to leave work for various reasons.”

Kady added: “There shouldn’t be any difference.” Pets are a choice, just like children are a choice.

‘Some people can’t have children or choose not to have children. Obviously, don’t give a dog weeks off if he needs an appointment, but a day or two is fine.’

Host Ed asked the reality star: “If you got a call on the way to a photo shoot and they said the shoot is off-site, the photographer’s goldfish is sick, what would you say?”

Kady replied: ‘A goldfish is different, you can’t tell. “I’m a pet lover and since I’ve been there, it would be nice to take care of them.”
