The body of a missing British astrophysicist has been discovered at the bottom of a canyon, Greek media have reported.
Dr. Natalie Christopher, 34, disappeared on Monday morning after her friend said she was going jogging on the Aegean island of Ikaria.
According to national broadcaster Ant1 News, her corpse was discovered by a volunteer firefighter, half a kilometer from the hotel where she had stayed with her 38-year-old Cypriot friend.
The cause of death of the Nicosia-based academic was not yet established, the ERT channel said.
Her friend told local media that she had gone jogging in the morning when he woke up Monday. He called her once and she answered, but a few hours later he received no answer and the police were summoned.
Her sister Jena Christopher wrote on Facebook yesterday: & # 39; If you have her phone number, do NOT call her. This lowers the battery and the police try to use her phone to find her location. & # 39;
