Nashville police responded to a shooting inside the Bordeaux Branch Library in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nashville police told DailyMail.com that two suspects shot two victims shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, and both were “possibly known” to the shooters.
One of the targets was rushed to Skyline Medical Center with serious injuries, while the other was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officials said the two suspects fled the scene, with one taking off on a residential street and the other shooter escaping behind a Kroger supermarket.
A large police presence descended on the library after the shooting, and a dozen officers were joined by a K-9 unit and a SWAT team, according to The Tennessian.

Cops say victims may have been known to shooters
Police say the shooters are still at large. One was described as wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts, and the other was wearing a hoodie and white tennis shoes.
One of the victims was shot inside the library and another outside.
After the shooting, the library released a statement saying the branch will remain closed for the next two days while cops investigate.
It is currently unknown what prompted the shooting, and police said the situation was “fluid” as they worked to gather information about the incident.
