Former NASCAR racer and passionate Donald Trump supporter Danica Patrick has launched a scathing attack on California Governor Gavin Newsom amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
The fires started on Tuesday and have killed five people, while an estimated 2,000 buildings have been destroyed.
Patrick took to
“California has 800 miles of coastline and 3,000 lakes and reservoirs,” Patrick wrote. ‘Why don’t they have enough water to put out all the fires?
“At some point I have to imagine it will be difficult for hardcore Cali lovers to accept the state of their state and how it is run.”
In a separate post, she shared a video of poverty in downtown Los Angeles before the fires swept the city, saying, “Highest state tax in the country for that view. Make that logical.’

And in a third message, she addressed Newsom directly, writing, “Time for Newscum to be the next to announce his resignation.”
Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Sheila Kelliher Berkoh had told FOX, “The strain this fire has put on the water system and the hydrants, they’re just not designed for that type of use all at once for 15 hours straight .’
The 42-year-old Patrick’s attacks echo Trump calling Newsom “Newscum” in his own social media posts about the ongoing crisis and also calling for him to resign.
In response, Newsom accused Trump of playing politics over a situation too serious for personal shots.
“People are literally fleeing, people have lost their lives, children have lost their schools, families have been completely torn apart, churches have been burned down,” Newsom said.
‘This man wanted to politicize it. I have a lot of thoughts and I know what I want to say. I don’t do that.’
Due to the fires, the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Charlotte Hornets was canceled on Thursday.
And American Olympic hero Gary Hall Jr. fears he has lost all 10 of his Olympic medals after having to flee his home in the Pacific Palisades.
