Victor Osimhen is not going anywhere unless he gets a ‘more than indecent’ offer, according to Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis.
At the unveiling of his kit for the new season, the Italian champions boss doubled down on his uncompromising focus on his star’s future, saying the Manchester United target “will certainly wear this new shirt.”
The Nigeria international is one of the hottest commodities in football after scoring 31 goals last season, but an asking price of around £150m has left suitors stunned.
With his financial constraints, that price would be out of the question for United.
Other heavyweights like PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool are also said to be vying for his signature at an extravagant price.
De Laurentiis said: ‘I already told you, Osimhen will certainly wear this new jersey. If a more than indecent offer arrives, as we have already done with Kvara [Khvicha Kvaratskhelia] and with Victor himself, we will find new solutions.’

Last month, Napoli named Rudi Garcia their new manager following the departure of title-winning boss Luciano Spalletti.
They enter 2023/24 as Italian champions for the first time in 33 years and have done well so far in retaining talents like Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia and Kim Min-jae, although it appears he is heading to Bayern Munich.
There was a feeling that Napoli could have capitalized more on a special season in which they crashed out in the Champions League quarter-final to AC Milan, who finished 20 points behind them and dropped to fourth in Serie A. .
Holding Osimhen is part of a plan to make gli azurri a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.
On the new kits, de Laurentiis said: ‘I hope they are a symbol of rebirth. The project is to bring Naples to the world. It is the beginning of a new era.
‘The festivals of the city and of the entire region were commented throughout the world by the civilization of our people, for the joy and beauty expressed.’
