Naomi Osaka and her longtime partner Cordae have split, she revealed Sunday night.
The tennis star and rapper began dating in 2019 and welcomed daughter Shai four years later in the summer of 2023.
However, the 27-year-old wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram Story that she and Cordae “are no longer in a relationship.”
“There’s no hard feelings at all, he’s a great person and an amazing father,” she continued.
“Honestly, I’m so glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow so much from our experience together.”
Over the weekend, Osaka reached the final of the ASB Classic in Auckland before withdrawing due to injury.

She shared the news of the breakup with her fans by posting a statement on her Instagram page.
“Joking aside, I really want to thank my team and everyone close to me for supporting me and keeping me sane (although that’s debatable lol), I’m really, really grateful,” she said. wrote after the tournament in Rags.
‘And I really want to thank my friends from all over the world (I think saying fans is a disservice). I’ve always said that it feels like we’re going through this journey together and I really hope you’re having as much fun as I am.’
Osaka has continued to regain her form after missing the entire 2023 season on maternity leave.
She defeated world number 10 Jelena Ostapenko in the first round of the US Open, and her run in Auckland was her first final appearance in almost three years.
The four-time Grand Slam champion is now ranked 50th in the world as the Australian Open approaches.
Cordae does not appear to have commented on his breakup with Osaka.
