A man is in hospital fighting for his life after an alleged assault at a rural bus station north of Brisbane.
The alleged attack occurred near the Nambour bus interchange at around 3pm on Sunday.
“Emergency services were called to the Civic Way address at approximately 3.15pm due to reports of a fight between two men, who are believed to have known each other,” read a statement from Queensland Police.

‘Upon arrival, they located a 39-year-old man with serious head injuries.
“He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.”
It is understood that the alleged attacker fled the scene.
Nambour is a small town about 110 kilometers north of Brisbane.
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
