A naked man led Washington State police through the streets and yards of a leafy suburb before being eventually cornered by officers using a K9 police dog.
Jacob Matthew Patterson was already on the run from police when he was finally located in Frederickson, south of Tacoma, sleeping in a stolen Ford F550 pickup truck.
But just as officers were about to stop Patterson from escaping by deflating his tires, he suddenly woke up and was able to flee, putting the vehicle in gear, leading to a high-speed chase.
Police allege Patterson drove directly into oncoming traffic and reached speeds near 110 mph as he entered the interstate.
It eventually crashed in Seattle’s Rainier Valley neighborhood, but the chase wasn’t over yet.

Washington state officers threatened to shoot Patterson if he didn’t get out of the trash.
Despite officers’ pleas for him to surrender, Patterson decided to make one last attempt to gain his freedom and escaped over the top of the backyard fence, completely naked.
The extraordinary chase was captured on multiple body cameras worn by Pierce County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
But no matter how fast Patterson was on foot, the department’s K9 police dog, named Bronco, was always going to be faster and quickly tracked him to a set of dumpsters at the back of a residential home.
Patterson was ordered to step out of a blue recyclable trash can, but refused until he had assurances that the dog would not be allowed to attack him.
Bronco, a K9 police dog, seen on the right, was able to track Patterson.
The officers could be seen ready to aim at the blue trash can with the K9 standing next to it.
Patterson appeared once he realized his hiding place had been discovered.
Patterson was quickly handcuffed and placed under arrest.

Little by little, the police managed to get him to turn around and put him in handcuffs, while Bronco, the canine, barked excitedly at his side.
Patterson is now in Pierce County Jail on $300,000 bail and faces charges of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, unlawful imprisonment, attempting to elude police, property damage and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
A four-year-old boy who was unbuckled in the back seat of the car with Patterson and his girlfriend was turned over to Child Protective Services.
