Where does he keep his travelcard? Naked commuter is spotted strolling through the City of London with only a backpack, flipflops and a takeaway coffee

  • A coffee-drinking commuter was spotted walking nude near the Old Bailey
  • The naked walker was spotted wearing just flips flops and rucksack at 8am

A coffee-drinking commuter wearing nothing but flip flops and a rucksack has been spotted strolling the streets of London.

The nude commuter was pictured carrying a takeaway coffee and what appears to be a pastry in a paper bag outside the Old Bailey in the City of London.

He was spotted walking through the streets of London’s financial district at 8am on 27 June as workers made their way to offices.

The bizarre scene, which played out during rush hour, raises the question as to where the nude commuter keeps his travelcard.

An amused passerby captured photos of the pantless pedestrian while on their way to get a blood test.

The passerby said the unusual incident immediately cheered them up as they claimed that seeing the naked walker ‘made my day’.

The passing photographer, who suffers from cancer and has to go for weekly blood tests, said the scene gave them a laugh.

The passerby who took the photo of the nude commuter said: ‘He had no pants on, you could see everything. He had grin on his face as if he loved being exhibitionist.

‘I have cancer and have to go for blood tests every week. I was so annoyed this morning but I saw him and I was just laughing, it made my day.

‘I was laughing but afterwards I did think, ‘What if I had my grandchildren with me?’.

Public nudity is not illegal in the England so long as there is no sexual context or intent to cause alarm or distress, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
