Nadia Bartel has revealed how having a world-famous pop star has helped turn around units at her popular tanning company, Spray Aus.

The company, owned by AFL WAG Rebecca Judd and Bartel, was used by Katy Perry ahead of her long-awaited headline gig at the AFL Grand Final last Saturday.

“Oh, that was very exciting for us,” the 39-year-old said during an appearance on The Morning Show on Monday.

“For example, when you have a new business and we’ve been working on it for so long, since 2015, when that opportunity came up, it was huge for us.”

Nadia said one of her employees personally applied the tan to Perry so she would glow for her big performance.

‘She was a superstar. One of my closest friends tanned her and went to the hotel, and she was down to earth and looked great. It was very exciting for us,” gushed Nadia.

Fans soon discovered Perry’s use of the tanning brand, and that has translated into sales for Nadia.

“We’ve had a lot of interest and we’re really trying to launch the brand overseas,” he said.

‘So I think that will really help us in the future. But it was nice that she was so cool too. How nice. ‘

The American pop sensation, 39, dazzled the 100,000 MCG crowd with an electrifying performance ahead of the Brisbane Lions’ clash with the Sydney Swans.

As well as capturing attention with her vocals and high-energy hits, Katy’s 20-minute set also had a highly unlikely link with Australian household names Rebecca, 41, and Nadia, 39.

Katy took to the stage with a glowing complexion which was achieved with the help of none other than Rebecca and Nadia’s tanning company, Spray Aus.

Emily McKay, who founded Spray Aus with the help of the WAGs, took to Instagram to reveal that she had personally visited Katy at her hotel to apply the spray tan using her mobile tanning service.

She shared: ‘You Katy Perry. Tanned by me at @sprayaus using our OG solution. What a special moment!

Spray Aus, founded in 2014 by Emily and Ellie Pearson, has become a major player in the beauty industry.

Shortly after its launch, Chris Judd’s wife Rebecca and Jimmy Bartel’s wife Nadia joined the business, helping to expand it to four independent salons in Melbourne.

Fans soon discovered Perry's use of the tanning brand, and that has translated into sales for Nadia.

Katy stunned with an amazing song choice and some very “strange” CGI effects during her performance at the AFL Grand Final at the MCG.

He surprised his fans almost immediately when he began his performance, for which he was reportedly paid $5 million, with his hit Roar, even though it was widely theorized that he wouldn’t touch that number.

There had been feverish speculation that the song had been blacklisted because it would show alleged bias toward the Lions, and Perry herself even admitted that she had been warned not to sing it.

However, despite the rampant theories, Perry threw caution to the wind when performing the song that some fans consider the unofficial anthem of the underdog.

He then caused even more surprise with his set list by not singing Hot n Cold, despite it being the famous MasterChef Australia theme song and many jokingly considering it to be the true Australian “national anthem”.

She performed her hits Teenage Dreams, Dark Horse, Firework and California Gurls and sang I Kissed A Girl with Tina Arena, but notably missed Hot n Cold, even though she was expected to appear.

Following reports that AFL bosses restricted her to just one new song, she also sang two tracks from her 2024 album 143: Lifetimes and Gorgeous, her collaboration with Kim Petras.
