The person responded confirming it was the right place, claiming her father dropped off the cat and a lady who worked there said staff would “look for a chip to contact the owner.”

In a later message, the person claimed that the cat never made it into the kennel and escaped from the car before his father dropped him off.

“I talked to my dad and he didn’t tell me, but when he went to get the cat out of the car, it ran away and got scared and didn’t tell me,” the person wrote.

In her post, Olivia asked her followers and Queenslanders to keep an eye out for their beloved family pet.

“Please share it to keep the voice going while his disappearance is still fresh,” he pleaded in his caption.

He also said Queensland Police had been notified “but no action has yet been taken” and he now believes the cat was sold and taken to Brisbane.
