Police found a bank card near a river in Nashville in their desperate search for missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain, who disappeared nine days ago.
Strain, 22, was last seen March 8 at Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink on Broadway, which is owned by country superstar Luke Bryan, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
The Delta Chi fraternity member was in Tennessee on a group trip for their annual spring ceremony when he was kicked out of the bar around 10 p.m. for unknown reasons.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said Thursday they were using a boat to continue their search along the Cumberland River.
On Sunday, they confirmed that a bank card belonging to Strain was found on the embankment near Gay Street, a three-minute walk from the Downtown Smoke & Vape Shop on Church Street where he was last seen on video.

Wednesday, video obtained by WKRN » showed Strain near the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Church Street.
He is seen wearing a two-tone black and brown shirt and blue jeans falling, then quickly getting up and continuing down the street.
Another camera was caught on camera near the intersection of Gay Street and 1st Avenue North, just before 10 p.m., taking long steps with his head down as he stumbled through the streets.
“We feel like when he came out, because they had gone to a few other places, he got turned around,” said Strain’s stepfather, Chris Whiteid.
Additional surveillance footage released by Nashville police shows him staggering and appearing confused as he crossed a closed road near the water.
The next morning, his fraternity brothers tried to find Strain using his Snapchat location but were unsuccessful and called the police to report him missing.
His last cell phone location was recorded between Gay Street and James Robertson Parkway, near the bar where he was last seen.

Authorities said in a press briefing on Sunday that the search for the 22-year-old was continuing.
Police attempted to locate his phone but were unsuccessful, while also checking local hospitals and jails.
They conducted a helicopter search Tuesday to scour downtown Nashville, including the Cumberland River.
His mother Michelle Whiteid said he was “a great kid” and normally “very communicative”.
“We miss him and we want him back so much,” she told WKRN.
“He’s always texting me, calling me, FaceTiming me,” she added. “He is still in contact with me. He is very communicative.
Country singer Luke Bryan, one of the bar’s owners, said on Instagram: “Y’all, this is scary. I pray for his safe return.
TC Restaurant Group, the bar’s operator and another owner, said they “continue to work closely with the Metro Nashville Police Department to provide security camera footage and any other information potentially useful in making the search for Riley Strain easier.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones for his safe return.”

In a call for information on Riley’s whereabouts, the Nashville Metro Police Department described him as “6’6”, 165 pounds. with blonde hair and brown eyes.

The University of Missouri released a statement saying it was “in contact with the family and authorities in Nashville” who are working to locate the student.
“The safety of our community is our highest priority,” said Angela King Taylor, interim vice chancellor for student affairs.
“Our thoughts are with Riley’s family as the search continues. We will offer them whatever support we can and encourage anyone who needs help to use our counseling resources.
