A frantic search is underway to locate a missing Goldman Sachs analyst, who was last seen in the early hours of Sunday leaving a Brooklyn nightclub.
John Castic, 27, of Chicago, told friends at club Brooklyn Mirage that he was getting an Uber home to his apartment on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
It remains unclear whether he ever called or took an Uber, but he never returned home and his friends sounded the alarm on Sunday.
Castic graduated from DePaul University and started working as a senior analyst at Goldman Sachs in August 2022.
Castic and his friends had gone to see the Canadian electronic duo Zeds Dead.
John Castic, 27, was last seen leaving the club in the Bushwick-Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

His latest photo, shared by a friend, shows him arriving at their front door at 9 p.m., before heading to the concert on the outskirts of the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Bushwick neighborhoods.
His friends say he left the room at 2:30 a.m.
A person on Reddit claimed that there had been mobs of unlicensed taxi drivers prowling the area, and speculated that Castic might have gotten into one of their vehicles to try and get home.
Police initially declined to raise the alarm, they said, as he had no known mental health issues, but by Monday evening a detective had been assigned to the case.
On Tuesday, a group of his friends plan to meet outside the club and tour the area.

Castic was born in Chicago and studied at DePaul University before moving to New York to work in finance.

Castic’s friends plan to search for him on Tuesday
“One of my best friends, John Castic, disappeared after the Zeds Dead show on Friday night in New York,” his friend, Sara Kostecka, wrote on Facebook on Monday.
“Any information would be greatly appreciated, as well as sharing it with anyone in New York who may have seen it.”
Kostecka said Fox News Digital she has known Castic for seven years and that he has never been unapproachable.
Another friend, Jonah Shales, added that Castic’s phone died and hasn’t been turned on since.
“We are absolutely very worried about him,” Shales said. “No one has had contact with him.”

Castic went to the Brooklyn Mirage on Saturday night to see a Canadian electronic duo

The venue is in the Williamsburg-Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn

Karl Clemente was last seen at the Brooklyn Mirage on June 11 and his body was found in a nearby creek on June 16. Police do not believe his death is suspicious, but are investigating.
Castic’s disappearance came from the mother after another 27-year-old man disappeared from the same Brooklyn location.
Karl Clemente was with a group of friends on June 11 hoping to enter the Brooklyn Mirage around 9 p.m., but was turned away by doormen suspected of drinking.
He left and headed to a nearby gas station, where people often wait to get drinks and snacks before calling Ubers or Lyfts home.
He then disappeared.
Clemente’s body was found in a creek behind a lumber warehouse on June 16. Police said they do not believe his death was suspicious, but are still investigating.
