A British husband and wife have been found dead on a Caribbean beach, according to local media.
The couple were on holiday on the Grenadian island of Carriacou and the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain a mystery.
Their bodies were found on Saturday on the popular Paradise beach in the town of L’Esterre.
The man, 76, died at the scene, while his wife, 77, was reportedly taken to Princess Royal Hospital, where she was examined and pronounced dead.
Police have launched an investigation into the unexplained deaths and are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

The bodies were found on Paradise Beach in the village of L’Esterre in Carriacou in the Grenadines.
In a statement, reported by News on loopPolice said the autopsy will try to “tell us exactly what happened to them, but for now, it’s an apparent drowning.”
Other unconfirmed reports have suggested that the man got into trouble and that his wife died while trying to help him.
It comes after the deaths of two American tourists in the Grenadines last month during an apparent yacht hijacking.
The bodies of American couple Ralph Hendry and Kathleen Brandel have not been found, but police have classified their deaths as homicides.
The deaths have shocked the entire island, which has a population of just over 6,000.
It is the second largest island in Grenada and measures approximately 12 miles long by 3 miles wide.
