A couple of stunned friends recorded a strange ring-shaped UFO that appeared in the skies of Venezuela.
The now viral video shows the dark circular spot floating among the clouds over Valencia, a city in the state of Carabobo in northern Venezuela.
“A flying saucer,” shouts one of the young men as they drive by a car on a sunny afternoon.
He then asks one of his friends for the clock time to document the recording.
“Bro, look here: 4:54 pm on June 17, 2024,” he says. ‘Look what’s here in the sky in Valencia, Carabobo.’

Although Venezuelan authorities have not made public statements, local meteorologist Luis Vargas showered them with several theories that ruled out a possible UFO sighting.
“This could be a smoke vortex or a black ring that occurs after an explosion through a circular structure like an industrial chimney or something similar,” he wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
He also indicated that the circular shape could have been produced by a volcano.
“They are also more common in volcanic activities as you can see… and are known as annular clouds,” Vargas said.

Another social media user linked the ring-shaped clouds to cigarette smoke.
“It was me who was smoking a cigarette and I started making figures with the smoke,” said José Pérez. ‘But yes, his explanation is the most coherent and valid. I don’t think UFOs will arrive in Valencia, because we never have electricity, water and there are always lines to buy gasoline.’
Another joked that the UFO arrived before next month’s presidential elections to oust President Nicolás Maduro and his regime.
‘It is a UFO hired to search for those who leave on July 28,’ said Alba Ferrero.
