A strange-looking sea creature has baffled the locals with its unusual appearance after being poured on a beach in southern Vietnam.

The images show the mysterious black-brown sea dweller writhing in hundreds of tentacles after being caught by an intrigued tour guide in Kien Giang province last month.

Du Nam Du, the man who saw it, placed it on a green table to see more closely other bathers who were equally intrigued by its strange forms and extraterrestrial movements.

Nam Du said: "I do not know if it's an animal, vegetation or something else."

The local Kim Tho said: & # 39; It's a monster. One day he will come back from the ocean. It will be ten times bigger.

The mysterious creature was later thrown back into the ocean, with the locals still confused for what it was.

Experts believe that the creature is probably a piece of seaweed that reacts to air. There are dozens of smaller tentacles on each branch, all moving in different directions.
