An arrest warrant has been issued for ‘My Unorthodox Life’ Silvio Scaglia, ex-husband of star Julia Haart, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
New York Supreme Court Justice Douglas E. Hoffman took an extreme step last week when he found Scaglia in contempt after he failed to appear at a scheduled court date.
Hoffman had ruled that Scaglia owed Haart $300,000 in legal fees that he ordered paid in January.
But with no payment made and no indication that Scaglia had any intention of complying with the order, Judge Hoffman called the couple back to court last week, a hearing at which Scaglia did not appear.
The former couple has been fighting in court and in multiple lawsuits for more than two years.

During that time, DailyMail.com reported, Haart, 53, accused Scaglia, 65, of being on a “crusade to destroy her” after she left him in January 2022.
He accused her of misappropriating millions of dollars from Elite World Group (EWG), the modeling company the couple ran together, allegations for which he presented no evidence in court.
She, in return, claimed that it was Scaglia who had squandered company funds, using more than $20 million of the company’s money as a personal fund to finance a lifestyle of private jets, superyachts and even an engagement ring. of $342,000 heart-shaped diamonds for his new fiancée. Now Scaglia is a fugitive from the law after Judge Hoffman lost all patience over his failure to pay the $300,000 and the fact that he missed two court dates: May 15 and June 5.
Scaglia had claimed that the apartment needed to be sold to support his Elite World Group modeling agency and its parent company, Freedom, which he said is facing “financial difficulties.”

Scaglia, 64, was seeking to force the sale of his $70 million Tribeca penthouse overlooking the Hudson River, where Haart currently lives.
The court found him guilty of criminal contempt on June 5 and set a sentencing date for June 13, the third date on which Scaglia failed to appear and for which his attorneys did not request a continuance.
As a result, he was sentenced to spend 20 days in jail and a no-bail warrant was issued five days later.
Scaglia is understood to be in Milan, but under the strict terms of the warrant he will be arrested on the spot – day or night – the moment he lands on American soil.
He must surrender his passport, which the State Department has ordered revoked, and his driver’s license, and the judge must make it very clear that the time for any further recourse has passed.
In a further blow to the increasingly embattled self-described “billionaire,” Scaglia’s attorney, Robert Wallack, resigned last month citing an “irreparable breakdown” in the relationship between Scalgia and his firm.
He demanded that the apartment be put up for sale or that Haart pay the monthly maintenance costs, which he estimated at nearly $170,000.
The legal battle is one of several disputes that Haart and Scaglia have been locked in since their acrimonious separation last year after two years of marriage.
Haart starred in the popular Netflix series last year, which focused on her rise in the fashion industry after she left her strict religious home at age 42.
Meanwhile, Haart’s attorney, Nancy Chemtob of Chemtob Moss Forman & Beyda, welcomed Judge Hoffman’s decision and said her client felt “vindicated” by his actions.
She said: ‘Mrs. Haart feels vindicated by Judge Hoffman’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for Silvio Scaglia.
‘Mister. Scaglia mocked the court by not showing up…knowing that Judge Hoffman would revoke his driver’s license and passport and find him in contempt of court, resulting in a jail sentence. Mr. Scaglia is evading justice.
