A woman shared a horrible story of betrayal at her two-year-old daughter's funeral.

A grieving mother has shared her sister-in-law’s “ignorant and selfish” behavior during her two-year-old daughter’s funeral.

Melissa, 28, was devastated when her little boy passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Describing the aftermath as “the most difficult time of her life”, the mother has struggled ever since and feels she lost “a part of herself” after the funeral.

While she expected the memorial service to be difficult, she never thought her sister-in-law would be cruel enough to announce her pregnancy during it.

‘She didn’t make any big announcements, but more than ten people at the service ‘listened in’ and it’s what everyone was talking about. To put it simply, she was furious,” Melissa wrote on Reddit.

Melissa recently found out she was pregnant again and her family has been pushing for her to have a baby shower.

Despite wanting to celebrate, Melissa said she was worried her sister-in-law would cause another scene at the event.

“I’ve been working on who I want to invite and I really don’t want my SIL to be there,” he said.

‘In addition to what she did, she is a vindictive and evil person and I can’t stand her.

“I mentioned it to my husband and he says he doesn’t give a damn if she’s there or not. But to save face, I want opinions before I do this.

She asked on the online forum if he would be ‘a jerk’ for not inviting her, adding that she would equally invite her husband’s other sister and her husband’s brother’s wife.

“The original SIL will be the only one not invited,” he wrote.

Many criticized the sister-in-law for her selfish behavior.

‘I wouldn’t want to have someone like that around me. “Announcing a pregnancy at a child’s funeral is crazy,” said one of them.

‘Cut her out and ignore everyone near her. You’re right to have nothing to do with her. She doesn’t have any class.

But others encouraged her to have an adult conversation with her sister-in-law.

“Please let him go,” a woman said. ‘This happened on a terrible day during a bad time for you. It’s possible that that may cloud the way you’re seeing this, she may not have been malicious at all.

‘Why do you want to cause more anger, resentment and drama in the family? And I’m sorry, but I don’t understand the anger over the news circulating about his daughter’s funeral? she wrote a second.

“He was at a family function, even though it was tragic, and he was talking to his family about what was going on in his life. Maybe it came up innocently, like she was nauseous or noticed or had a craving.
