Helen Flanagan has revealed that her intrusive thoughts once got so bad that she believed she had cheated on her boyfriend even though she hadn’t.

Speaking in The Mail’s Bryony’s Life Podcastrevealed that he was also “out of it” due to medication when he was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle aged 22.

Speaking to Bryony Gordon, she said: “I remember being out, I think I was struggling after the birth, I remember being on a night out, my first night out since I had Matilda and I was wearing red lipstick and I saw there was a boy and he had like a red lipstick mark on his face.

“And for some reason my OCD when I got home told me that I slept with him in the bathroom and that I cheated on Scott and didn’t even get close to the guy. I just saw a red lipstick mark on his face.”

The TV personality shares Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with her ex-fiancé and Bristol Rovers player Scott Sinclair.

Helen split from her fiancé Scott in October 2022 after 13 years together, four of which were engaged.

She previously spoke openly about her postpartum depression, OCD, and intrusive thoughts, as well as ADHD.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, better known as ADHD, is a developmental disorder that affects a person’s behavior and ability to function.

While obsessive-compulsive disorder, known as OCD, is a mental health condition that causes people to experience repetitive and unwanted thoughts and behaviors.

Relationship OCD can also cause ongoing intrusive thoughts and behaviors related to personal relationships.

Helen revealed that her intrusive thoughts once got so bad that she believed she had cheated on her boyfriend even though she hadn’t.

In March this year, Helen revealed she was diagnosed with psychosis after suffering a “bad reaction” to her ADHD medication.

“I don’t know if you know the drug,” he told The Life of Bryony podcast.

‘It’s like Concerta Ritalin for ADHD. So I got it from the priory when I was 16 as an ADHD outpatient.

‘I had taken this medication, but I took it intermittently, the last time I took it, it actually gave me a psychosis.

“It was very, very bad.

I think he screwed me, basically.

“I think it gave me like panic attacks. I think it gave me anxiety. I think it made me nervous when I didn’t need to.

Helen revealed she was taking the medication three times a day while in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2017, where she came seventh.

“I took it when I went to the jungle when I was 22,” he said.

‘In fact, I took it three times a day.

‘It’s basically speed. I ate it three times a day as if it weren’t food, which I shouldn’t do. And I think it made me nervous.

“So when I was doing all the tests, I tried them all, because if you didn’t laugh, you cried.”

When Bryony asked if producers had any duty of care, she said: “But 10 years ago, you know, I passed all the tests.”

“But yeah, it was actually a little off.”
