A woman announced in a Reddit post that she kicked her husband to the sidewalk after finding out why he lied about getting a tattoo.
His soon-to-be ex-wife created the reddit post yesterday, where she revealed that her husband’s flower tattoo has the same name as that of his co-worker and lover, Lily.
“I had tried to ignore my feelings about him suddenly wanting a tattoo,” she wrote.
“He finally admitted that they had been having an affair for the past two years.”
According to the anonymous woman, she and her husband have been married for 19 years and she never thought she would get divorced at 43 years old.

The tattoo located on his chest is of a lily, which turns out to be his lover’s name. He added an ivy surrounding the lily more than a year later, which is the name of his son.
The woman explained that her husband got the tattoo a year and a half ago and had never expressed interest in wanting one before.
“He ended up getting a lily tattooed on the left side of his chest,” he said.
“I didn’t like it very much but I didn’t comment because he is free to do what he wants with his body.”
According to the heartbroken wife, he added an ivy tattoo around the lily, which was their son’s name, just over a year late.
He later told his wife that he was no longer allowed to attend “work events and parties” due to the pandemic. Her unfaithful husband gave in and invited her to one of her work events, where she met her co-worker Lily.
The soon-to-be ex-wife met Lily at her husband’s work function and her husband revealed the truth after trying to make her believe it was a coincidence.
She and her husband were married for 19 years before she filed for divorce against his wishes. The couple shares an 18-year-old daughter.
“She works in the same department as him and they have the same title, so they work together a lot,” he wrote.
Her husband claimed it was a coincidence, but after she couldn’t ignore her feelings about the tattoo, he confessed the affair to her.
“I was so surprised I wasn’t even thinking about the ivy, but my husband said Lily had a baby she named Ivy and she got the tattoo a few months after the birth.”
He begged her not to file for divorce, but it was too late to ask for forgiveness.
She stated, “Divorce shouldn’t be complicated.”
“We both work, so the lawyer I consulted said that no spousal support will be ordered for either of us and that our assets will be divided.”
Her husband wants to go to therapy, but after his actions, the wife admitted that she “can’t.”

Reddit users have been supporting the woman since she created the post and described her crumbling marriage in detail. Some have wondered if Ivy is the daughter of her cheating husband.
“Step 1: Ask him to show you that he really wants you back by asking him to remove the tattoo,” the Reddit user wrote.
