Happy and Polly Gothic Style Litter Mat, a small rug with blue and white ghosts under the edge of a cat litter bin

There is a world of fluffy and adorable cat supplies. The best cat furniture is designed to blend into your home and be pleasing to the average person, so it tends to have a neutral style. But what if you’re not a fan of cream and beige?

Of Scooby-Doo to Buffy the vampire slayerMy youngest daughter has always liked creepy things. She campaigned for a third cat for a full year before we broke down and welcomed Rocket to the family. Like his cat, he lives in his room, so we had to get him a bunch of new gear. Exploring online options, she was disappointed by how boring and repetitive everything was. But then we discovered Happy & Polly’s Gothic range, which will delight Halloween fans.

eternal night

The Happy & Polly Gothic Style Cat Tree stands around five feet tall and features a plush cat bed on top, a pair of coffin-shaped platforms, and several cat scratching posts. The wide base measures about 2.25 feet wide at its widest part, is finished with black wood veneer, and keeps the entire building stable. The interiors of the coffins provide a color that contrasts with the black. We opted for the classic red, but you can also opt for purple, pink or green. The finishing touch is a pair of hanging bat-shaped toys hanging from bungee cords.

Rocket didn’t even wait for me to fully set up the cat tree before jumping on it and clawing at the sisal rope posts. It was easy to put together and looked great in my daughter’s small bedroom. Practically, the luxurious bed on top fits on a wooden platform and you can remove it for machine washing. Rocket likes to sleep upstairs, but sometimes he also sleeps in the coffin.

As a Russian blue, the Gothic cat tree suits him perfectly. Before my daughter decided on Rocket as her name, Vlad was in the running and has a fancy Dracula cape. While Rocket loves the cat tree, our other two cats have stayed away and seem to feel like this is their territory.
