A young mother has shocked her family after revealing the ‘terrible’ name she gave her newborn baby.

The 20-year-old gave birth to a baby girl last month and didn’t tell anyone the name she had chosen until she signed all the official documents.

She wanted to name the baby after her grandparents Harvey and Charlotte, so she mixed them together to form ‘Harlotte’.

I had never heard the word “whore,” which means “prostitute” or “sexually promiscuous.”

The woman’s cousin shared the details on reddit, and explained how the family reacted to the news.

The cousin stated, “She didn’t tell anyone about the name idea until she was named and the papers were signed.”

‘My mom burst out: “DID YOU CALL THE BABY A WHORE?!” and my cousin started screaming. This poor child. Harlot. HARLOTTE.’

Many Redditors were quick to point out that ‘Charvey’, ‘Charley’ or ‘Harley’ would have been a better choice when combining the two names.

“Tough times ahead for the poor boy,” one commented, another said, “That’s very, very unfortunate.” That poor boy.’

“Normally I’m against baby name shaming, but that’s terrible. And if this is real, they should change that poor kid’s name,” wrote a third.

Another questioned the need to name the baby after others.

‘Ugh, that poor baby. When you decide on your baby’s name, there are certain things you should consider,” wrote one more.

Earlier this year, experts listed the baby names that are in danger of going extinct by 2024, and Millennial and Gen Z nicknames are taking the hit.

The Parenting Website Team. baby center analyzed baby names from the past two years and found that while “classic” names like Diana, Amanda and Aiden were disappearing, so were “trendy” picks like Mckenzie, Brady and Oaklee.

Today’s parents, Generation Y (also known as Millennials), are not only choosing new and different names, they are also raising a new and unique generation: Generation Alpha.

Trends show that the generation born since 2010 will be the most digital, global and visual on the planet.

When they are all born (2025), there will be almost two billion: the largest generation in the history of the world.
