An Australian woman has shared her frustration after her colleague’s “pregnancy” doubled her workload – and there’s one infuriating detail she can’t ignore.
She revealed that her coworker keeps saying, “I can’t do this because I’m pregnant,” “I can’t fly on a plane because I’m pregnant,” and “You wouldn’t understand because you’re pregnant.” “I’m not pregnant” as an excuse every week.
However, the colleague is not physically pregnant: she is using a surrogate mother.
“I have four children,” the anonymous woman said. “I finally had enough today and told her that I couldn’t be serious and that she needed to get it through her brain if she wanted to be able to raise the child instead of living in a fantasy world.”
‘You’re not pregnant!’ the woman said to her colleague. “Your surrogate mother is pregnant.”

But her ‘outburst’ caused a scandal and caused the company’s human resources department to get involved.
“Now I have to meet with HR because this made her cry and I need to be more considerate of pregnancy hormones,” the woman revealed on Facebook.
He understood that his colleague wanted the attention of having a child, but stated that it should not affect his ability to do his job.
‘(My colleague) wants to sneak out of work saying she’s pregnant, but nothing more. I get lumped in with her workload and mine when she’s able to do the work.’
The woman understood that her colleague wanted the attention of having a child, but stated that it should not affect her ability to do her job.
Many commentators sympathized with the difficult situation.
“I would be angry if I had to do twice as much work because someone was having a child,” one woman said. “She is not physically pregnant and to say that she can’t do her job because her surrogate is pregnant is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life.”
‘I’m with you. She is not pregnant. “She’s having a baby (which is valid and exciting) but she’s not physically pregnant and it’s weird to imply that she is,” said another.
But others criticized the woman for being inconsiderate.
“She has a surrogate for a reason and I guess it’s because she can’t have the baby herself. I think you should be more sensitive to what she’s going through. She could be very anxious about all of this and feel like work is her only one.” safe space,” one of them said.
“It’s not your place,” said another. ‘There is a career path you should have followed. It is very unpleasant to point out that she is not the one carrying the child.
It’s actually a really horrible thing to say to someone. Questioning your ability to raise a child and calling it a “fantasy world.” “I understand it’s annoying, but there are many ways to do it: not being a monster is just the beginning,” one wrote.
Some stated that the woman should address her issues with the company.
“You sound very unpleasant and it’s not her fault that work has increased, it’s your boss’s fault,” one woman said.
“I would be very adamant about the fact that I’m not doing any of their workload. What an absolute joke,” another added.
