Turning 15 is supposed to be an exciting time for any growing teenager, but Jed Bostock spent his birthday at home, away from everyone else.
He canceled the party the night before because his painful acne had gotten so bad that it affected his self-confidence.
“I was in my room and mom came in and asked me a few questions about the party. That’s when I felt overwhelmed with emotion and canceled,” Jed, now 17 and from Brisbane, told FEMAIL.

The red, blistered acne covered her cheeks, forehead, chin and neck and caused her to feel “itchy” and “irritated.”
On the morning of his birthday, Jed woke up “disappointed” that he had abandoned plans at the last minute.
