A music actor who has worked with big names in the industry including Justin Bieber, Drake and Post Malone has revealed that a woman, 34, who was found dead in the bathtub of his oceanfront suite in Miami Beach, was a budding musician he hoped would be. Signboard.
David Pollnow, 46, left his luxury, near $2,600 per night suite, in the apartment towers of the Setai Hotel on March 30 – in the early hours of the morning – hotel surveillance recorded his departure just after 4.30am.
According to Pollnow, Laura Lozano, a 34-year-old musician, did not leave with him. Instead, she was discovered about nine hours later by hotel staff, lying facedown, unresponsive in the bathroom of the one-bedroom unit, where police say they found “unidentified substances” in various areas of the property.
Poulnow told DailyMail.com EXCLUSIVELY that the loss of the 34-year-old is a “terrible tragedy” that he “truly loved” her and that he was “helping her make music” before her death.
In a police situation report detailing the night’s events, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, the Miami Beach Police Department named Polno a “person of interest” — the 46-year-old, who he insisted “wasn’t there when she died.”

Police said they responded to Setai Ocean Suites, which feature panoramic ocean and cityscape views, regarding an “unresponsive woman.”
Before their arrival, emergency fire rescue was dispatched.
“The front desk called room 2805 due to a previous checkout time,” reads the case report for Johnny Berthold, who according to his associated work as Setai’s director of security, but there was no answer on the room’s phone line.
Paulnow was then contacted by the front desk via landline phone, and according to police he said he “already checked out and needed the female in his room, outside of his room.”
Hotel security camera footage revealed that Pollnow left just after 4.30am on the morning of 30 March. Police said they believe the incident occurred between 7 a.m. March 29 and 1:09 a.m. the following day.
Michael Santa Cruz, he went up to the room and when no one answered, he went in, did a sweep, and noticed the bathroom door was slightly open. This is where he saw Lozano in the tub looking lifeless.
Santa Cruz immediately left the room, calling his supervisor Harry Joseph, who attempted CPR before calling fire rescue.
After their arrival, it was announced that Lozano had died at approximately 1.22pm.
Police said that when they first entered the room, they noticed “an unknown substance in various areas within the property”.
Not much is known about Lozano, except that she was a 34-year-old American citizen. It remains unclear if she is from Miami because the address was not provided in the report.
DailyMail.com spoke to Poulnow’s wife, Stacey Benellis, who said she had “no press comment at this time.” Soon after, Polnow called, noticeably emotional when talking about the tragic accident.
“It was a terrible tragedy,” he recounted.

Polowno, who is a partner at NKSFB, the country’s largest management firm that works alongside artists in music, film and television, said he had hoped to sign Lozano – a budding musician.
She was there because she was recording music the night before. She’s a customer and she was going to sign me a record deal that helped her make music.”
“I really don’t want to get too deep into it. Honestly, it was a terrible tragedy.”
When asked why the 34-year-old was in his room at such odd hours during the night, Pollnow said, “I let her stay there, there’s not much of it.” When asked about his whereabouts, he reiterated, “It was found when I left.”
He said, “From what I’m told it was found later in the day.”
Pollnow appears to have been in contact with Lozano’s family – but offers no further details about the identity of this new artist – simply saying that “her family is destroyed”.
The 46-year-old is a partner at NKSFB and works in the Westwood office, focusing on business management.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter In 2018, the 46-year-old said he had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest tours that year, adding that he finds his job “complete” when his clients are “hit”.
To unwind, the Hollywood business executive said he likes to “spend as much time as possible with my family.”
According to the police report, Pollnow lives in Los Angeles in a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home valued at $11.4 million, according to Zillow.
He lives there with his wife, Stacy, and their children.
It remains unclear if Stacy, who works as a pediatric ophthalmologist, was in Miami Beach with her husband the night Lozano died. She declined to make any comments on the matter when contacted by DailyMail.

According to the police report, Paulno lives in Los Angeles in a five-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment valued at $11.4 million with Stacey and their children.
The police is still investigating the matter that happened at the Setai Hotel.

In photos of the lavish unit, the bedroom overlooks the beach and ocean.
The unit has a kitchen, lounge and balcony with stunning views.
The bathroom comes with double sinks and a deep soaking bathtub, and each room is equipped with guest robes.
Lozano was allegedly “recording music” with Poulno the night she stayed in the luxury suite. DailyMail.com has contacted the NKSFB for comment.
