Huge explosion as a massive fire breaks out in a townhouse in a gated community

A massive explosion was heard in four suburbs as a large fire broke out in a row house inside a gated community.
The fire broke out at the house on Nambucca Close in Murrumba Downs, north of Brisbane, shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.
Seven fire crews were called to the scene to contain the burning building with an exclusion zone established around the Nambucca Rise complex.
Residents reported hearing a loud explosion in four suburbs, including Strathpine, Griffin, Kallangur and Dakabin.

Police urged residents to stay away from the surrounding areas, including Yaraki Court and Pine River Drive.
The Queensland Ambulance Service has yet to confirm if anyone required treatment as a result of the incident, as police evacuated nearby residents.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, the house and garage were well ablaze.
The footage showed thick plumes of smoke billowing from the burned property.
The explosion destroyed the house and the force sent debris across the street.

Residents took to social media to report the shocks they felt from the explosion that rocked houses in neighboring areas.
‘Our roof shook and it felt like something big fell on it… Same for the neighbours. We were all in the street checking! one wrote on Facebook.
“Rocked my house in Griffin,” wrote another.
Some felt the blast several kilometers from the Murrumba Downs area.
‘She rattled our glass door on Mango Hill,’ wrote one.
