Taylor Swift fans are divided over a large-scale mural of the pop star.
The mural shows Swift wearing a low-cut red dress and a diamond 87 pendant, the jersey number worn by her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The artwork, by well-known street artist Scottie Marsh, was painted on Little Oxford Street, on the corner of Crown Street in Sydney’s central business district.
The mural generated mixed reactions when it was shared on social media on Monday, with some saying it was an unflattering depiction of the pop star.
“None of your best work…seems a bit out of place,” one commenter wrote.
“They smashed his face in a big way,” said another.
Others said it was “out of character” for Marsh to paint the American megastar.

The mural was completed just in time for the pop star’s arrival in Sydney on Monday, where she will perform four sold-out shows at Accor Stadium starting on Friday.
‘I know you’ve worked with pop stars before, but they tend to be queer cultural icons who have a lot of sentimental and cultural significance and now… Taylor Swift!?’ they said.
‘I’m a big fan of your amazing art… But we really don’t need to see this person anymore. “There are a million other people with so much more substance and meaning than you could have painted,” one woman wrote.
However, others said they loved the mural.
‘Although I love Scottish political art more, I think it’s good to have murals of people who bring joy. As they say, let people have fun!’ one wrote.
‘Why can’t people appreciate art as art? I like it… yay Tay Tay,’ said a second.
A third shared: “With so much going on in the world, if a Taylor Swift mural pisses you off then it’s ridiculous,” another commented.
‘Getting angry about things that really matter… your success is admirable.’

While Australians have seen the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker and Pink! In public in recent weeks before Monday’s sighting, Swift has managed to completely evade the spotlight while she’s in Australia.
Rumors that Kelce could join Swift in Sydney before accompanying her to shows in Singapore emerged after the pop star sent her private jet to Hawaii.
Kelce was last seen in Kansas City, but is believed to be flying to Los Angeles on a private jet, most likely to catch a connecting flight to Hawaii.
If the NFL star flies to Australia, he’ll land just in time to see Swift perform at Sydney’s Accor Stadium later this week.
