A mother was left scratching her head after discovering a huge swing mysteriously “parked” on top of her teenage son’s car, sparking a whirlwind of confusion and speculation.
Taking to Facebook to share the bizarre event, the Queensland mum wrote: “Between 7pm and 10.30pm an entire swing was literally left in my teenage son’s car… What the f**k… We don’t have idea of who.” I could even do such a thing.
Accompanying the disconcerting scene was the sheer impracticality of the joke.
‘It doesn’t look like a light swing either. What makes it worse is that they could have left it in the front yard because there was so much room. “Now we have two swings,” he added.
When neighbors and friends weighed in, the theories ran wild.
Could it have been a drunk? Or perhaps a mischievous member of your child’s friend group? The mother admitted that the setup seemed “too simple” to be a random act of vandalism.
Among the flurry of comments, one person joked: “I can’t imagine how confused you would have been, ‘I don’t remember parking under a swing set?’
Another joked: “Cutting tires is out, putting full swings on cars is in.”

One commenter marveled at the uniqueness of the situation, saying, “I think you just had an original experience.”
Others expressed envy over the unexpected gift: “I’m pretty upset because I had to pay $600 for my daughter’s swing and I couldn’t find one in my car.”
One parent added, “I wish someone would give me a ready-made swing.” It was difficult to prepare the Bunnings one for Christmas.
Another praised the logistics of the prank: ‘You know what, it’s actually pretty impressive. Not breaking it during this heist is amazing!’
After hours of puzzlement over the incident, the mystery was finally solved.
“I HAVE AN UPDATE ON MYSTERY SWING AU,” the mom wrote in a fun follow-up.
It turned out that the culprits were none other than his own son and his best friend.
The teens had orchestrated the elaborate prank to “mess with” her, not knowing that their antics would end up on social media for the world to see.

“They didn’t know I was going to post on Facebook,” he revealed.
‘It took me reading one comment in particular to wonder if they did, and they did. They really excited me. Speaking of shame… the worst thing is that I can’t even be angry.’
Some commenters shared their own stories of strange car pranks: “A neighbor once placed two full trash cans on top of mine and my friend’s roof,” one wrote.
Another commiserated: “My son went through a phase where he woke up with eggs in his car every morning.”
Others imagined the hilarity of the moment and said, “Imagine being the neighbor watching this unfold.”
