A money-saving mom found a great deal on a kids’ snack at Costco Wholesalers.
The Canberra woman found a 12-pack of Rafferty’s Garden chocolate custard bags for just 97 cents.
The 12-pack was less than half the price of a bag of chocolate spread from Coles of Woolworths, which costs up to $2.15.
She shared the online budget find that impressed parents looking for ways to save on their kids’ school lunches and snacks.
“I was at Costco this morning and yes, it’s $0.97 for 12 bags of Rafferty Garden chocolate,” the mother said in the Sales addicts Australia Facebook group.

Costco stocks large quantities of brand name foods at much cheaper prices than major supermarkets.
There are only 15 American-founded chain stores in all of Australia and customers must register for a $60 annual fee to shop there.
Members of the group were captivated by the “amazing” purchase and some hoped to find it for themselves at the nearest Costco.
“Oh wow, I need this,” one mom said and another pointed out, “You can’t even get one for that price!”
‘OMG, my son loves these. “I am not a Costco member nor do I have one near me,” added a third.
“But be careful, they are stains,” someone warned.
Others were skeptical and wondered if they were discounted because the expiration date was approaching or had expired.
However, the mother said the expiration date was not until September 2024.
