A mum took her daughter on a whirlwind eight-hour trip to Ibiza to celebrate her 22nd birthday – and it cost the family just £275.

The mum, from Leeds, scored return flights for just £81 each to the Spanish party island, for a relaxing day of sightseeing and shopping.

Walker and Alicia started their long day at Manchester Airport on October 21, arriving around 5.20am for a 7.20am flight.

Once they arrived in Ibiza, the couple headed straight to the marina to spend the rest of the morning by the water.

They went for a walk, admiring the luxury yachts and designer shops, before enjoying breakfast at a local spot.

The couple then strolled through the old town to do some shopping, before finishing the day soaking up the sun and having a cocktail at the beachfront bar.

In total, they spent around eight hours enjoying everything Ibiza has to offer before returning to the airport to catch their return flight at 9:20 p.m.

“We would sum up the day as long, but it’s definitely worth it,” Ms. Walker told Luxury Travel Daily.

‘A client of mine suggested doing an extreme day trip because I fancied something random. It was a good way to glimpse another country.

‘The weather was also good, which I didn’t expect for the end of October.

“Going through Ibiza airport was very easy, we passed security control and arrived at the duty-free in 10 minutes.

“We had the obligatory Burger King at the airport and waited for our flight.

“There was a slight delay of an hour in getting home.

“Our flight left at 10:40 p.m. instead of 9:20 p.m. We arrived home at 2 a.m..”

In total, Mrs Walker spent £274.71 on the trip including flights, £29.22 on Ubers and £83.49 on expenses while in Ibiza with Alicia.
