How to use multiple devices with one WhatsApp account
To use the new WhatsApp feature, you need to have the app installed on your main phone and then download it to a second device.
When you open and set up the app, you don’t have to enter your phone number and other details again, just click “Connect to existing account” type.
This will create a QR code generated, which you have to scan on your original device. To do this, go to the WhatsApp settings on “Link a device” and scan the QR code. You should now be signed in on both devices.
Danger: The device on which you first signed up is considered your primary device for WhatsApp. It doesn’t need to be left on or near your other devices for you to receive messages. In addition, up to four devices are permitted per number. So five in total.
However, if you don’t use the main device for 14 days, you will be logged out on your secondary devices.
