Previously, when you registered on a new cell phone, the old device was automatically deregistered.
There were workarounds like WhatsApp Web, but that’s not always what you’re looking for. Because using WhatsApp on the mobile phone in the browser is probably optimal for very few.
well has Meta announcedthat it will soon be possible to log in to several smartphones at the same time. End-to-end encryption will remain intact and the feature will be available on Android and iOS devices.
Users with multiple cell phones or tablets can look forward to shared accounts. Company accounts can now be used on multiple devices. For example, an entire department can keep an eye on one number.
How to use multiple devices with one WhatsApp account
To use the new WhatsApp feature, you need to have the app installed on your main phone and then download it to a second device.
When you open and set up the app, you don’t have to enter your phone number and other details again, just click “Connect to existing account” type.
This will create a QR code generated, which you have to scan on your original device. To do this, go to the WhatsApp settings on “Link a device” and scan the QR code. You should now be signed in on both devices.
Danger: The device on which you first signed up is considered your primary device for WhatsApp. It doesn’t need to be left on or near your other devices for you to receive messages. In addition, up to four devices are permitted per number. So five in total.
However, if you don’t use the main device for 14 days, you will be logged out on your secondary devices.
It will soon be time. According to Meta, the update is already being rolled out worldwide. That means you should keep an eye out for a Whatsapp update in the coming days and weeks.
WhatsApp is published and is always planning minor and major updates that should make the messenger better. You can find an example here:
