Two babies born inside a home have died, one at home and another later in the hospital.
The babies, understood as twins, were found after 2am on Sunday, February 11 at a home in Mullumbimby, northern New South Wales, after police were called for welfare reasons.
One of the babies died at the scene while the other was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital, where he later died, 7News reports.
The mother was also taken to the hospital, but there is no update on her condition at this time.
A crime scene was established at the house.
Police have launched an investigation into the deaths and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
